Winder First Baptist Church Women
Focus Scripture for 2017
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:1-6
Winder First Baptist Church Women exist to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ among the women of our church through Bible Study, Fellowship, Prayer, Missions Education & Service Together. Our Prayer is that every woman find a place in our community of believers where she can use her passion and giftedness to fulfill her calling and further the Kingdom of God.
Serving as our care givers this team is praying for those in need, sending out cards of encouragement and making phone calls. They have the honor of ministering to our pastors and their families. Many women who enjoy participating in the Son-Shine Team do so from the comfort of their own home at their own pace and their own schedule. A contact for this team is Wendy Koonce (770) 725-6799 or email@example.com
Serving as a welcoming team to new ladies joining our church this team is filled with the gift of hospitality. They host new member luncheons in their homes providing an opportunity for women new to the church to connect with other women at Winder First Baptist Church. This team has the joy of following up with and helping new women get plugged in where they may be interested in serving or being served. This also is the go to team to help plan and carry out hospitality needs for our Connect opportunities and special events. A contact for this team is Tammy Sauls (770) 289-6890 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Sit, Stitch & Serve

No special skills are required to participate on this team. A contact for this team is Vye Evans (404) 556-4489 or email@example.com

Walk Boldly Into Your Calling
- Pray and ask God to reveal and clarify your calling.
- Remember that these are given to edify the church—not yourself.
- Your call won’t look exactly like anyone else’s—we were all uniquely created for a purpose.
- Know yourself—what are you passionate about?
- Listen to the wise men and women in your life who know you—are they affirming where you feel like God is leading?
- Ask for feedback—know your strengths and weaknesses and learn how to receive criticism.
- Walk in a manner worthy of the calling (Ephesians 4:1-6).
- Fully surrender—hands open, whatever it looks like, wherever He may lead you to go.
God has called and equipped you to a specific task and purpose, so walk it out in full faith, believing that God will show you the next step along the way.
